Recent

So my utilities are still off and the landlord gave the house back to the mortgage co.

A realtor selling the house next door said she might want to buy my house.  I told her i am also interested in getting the place for cheap, make some income off renting the front, or get a rent to own lease.

Shes letting me use the water pump at the house she is selling so that has been great.

I am getting some income from selling sage smudge sticks to a store in new york and will be selling some childrens hand knit legwarmers and baby quilts.

Everything is pretty good!! I have been lifting weights and jump roping, then i got some sciatica so um just trying to massage my legs as they say sciatica is from poor circulation.  It was so bad it made me stop jump roping.ow

And trying to remove bunions with raw turmeric as they say the turmeric removes the calcium or salt deposits that are the bunions.

Vests

I sewed a vest for my father and for my nephew.  Both were a pretty fun process.  I made the one for my nephew a tad larger than his size so he could grow into it.  I used a pattern which i usually dont and that was cool too :)

This pattern made it so you could turn the item inside out and have all invisible seams with the internal lining and outside fabric.  I couldnt quite get the instructions on the first one for the nephew so i ended up doing so detail stiching but on the second one for my dad i figured out how to get it all sewed inside out so when it gets turned right side out no seams are visible, very cool and quite a process.

I guess my dads is a little tight at the top of the vest which is totally explainable because i made the original pattern for 20" length instead of 27", haha why this happened i dont know, i did measure on of his other vests.  So i added on some at the bottom but the top already had a "waist" in it and i didnt add any into the sides to fill out this waist indent that shouldnt have really been there.

Now will i be able to add in extra fabric at the top of the back, armpit? Move the buttons, what?  Its really just a learning process on how to better correct mistakes and really how much focus and exactitude need to go into making a garment of this type and a good fit.  Im not really a perfectionist but im learning about how to prevent and avoid unexactness in the fit of my garments.  Im sure it will get easier and my comprehension of how to do this will improve.
