2014
Oh my dear f**ng god. what a year!! :)
I ordered all this criznap for myself and bizness handcraft...so many orders and shipments and missing items and replacements and backorders and canceled orders and latelate charges and decreased then split charges.
I thought i was going to overdraw...but i had like three days because latelate charges...then refunded charges for canceled orders. and furthermore bank of america has a monthly fee i thought was going to remove my anus from my body...well.
So new bank account...didnt overdraw...getting some items in the mail. Almost scared my family wants my xmas presents to myself. I spent all my food $ on this stuff anyway (only drinking tea and coffee and not daily food to keep my stuff running and my style good i want to model anyway).
Well i will have to make ten purchases a month to avoid monthly fees. i am about finished with my mirror hanging and now making some broken mirror tile mosaics with grout!! Its awesome.

pasta and sequin
Had a wonderful sunday night pizza last night...quatro cheese and mushroom...green chile and sausage and a plate of the fettucine cream sauce with shrimp ( orange sauce with some greens too).
Very fun...couple glasses of red wine and some heinekin to round it off as well as espresso tiramisu and spimoni. everything was shared all around obviously.
Started sewing some of my winter projects...got a sequin tank top ive been wanting to make for like a couple years. i rarely go out on new years eve but i wanted to have a sequin outfit ( shorts and tank) to go party in...when i do. i chose silver instead of gold for whatever reason and found sequin elastic shorts online. Dont know yet if i will party this year. if not i will have it for next year. i could not stand not having a rad sequin getup fo new years eve.

Xmas
I had a wonderful meal on thanksgiving...i had duck. it was pretty good, with spaetzl. spaetzle was nice because i had wanted pasta. although seeing the steaks that people beside me had got i might have ordered that, or scallops. i always think i ordered the wrong thing though. i also had baconwrapped prawn as an appetizer which was totally decadent. it was all a lil overly salty but quite an experience. And the waiter was a bit weird but hopefully won't have to see them again.
One of the neighbors uses wood to heat their house and i think i must backdraft in my apt because it is really stinking of smoke in here. i have woken up to it the past couple days...gone in the day though.
I got new contact lenses for xmas...from europe so i can choose my own perscription. Woopee.

holidayce
So i have started planting my spring seeds. last year i started well into spring for flowers but for vegetable i started at jan 1. They were both somewhat sucessful. i already have bulbs trying to make shhots and doing good. we will see when they sprout.
It would be so nice to get things going year round!! i finished off my blue cheese totally. it was homemade from a half gallon of organic milk. the process was extremely fun...rather stinky...i even started smelling like this bum i spoke to at college.
Hahaha...real weird. i dont know if i would do it again. maybe if i had a cow :). Or access to alot of cheap milk. the xheese was good. It did not vein up i think because i had it in my fridge which is a bit colder than a "cool box". but the flavor was excellent and the texture was real firm as a firm farmers cheese. that part without the aging and blueing would be easy to do again for a real cheese person.
Almost xmas...very fine. i am reading fountainhead by any rand. quite a captivating read.
Did my nails for the holidays...getting into nail art a little so that is fun!

aliexpress
I love shopping on aliexpress because they have free shipping...huge selection...and low low prices.
I finished painting all my planters in the cream color and moved on to the molding and window sills in blue and light blue.
I have a bunch of plants so next step is to put some repurposed mirrors behind the plants using 3m strips.
I am experimenting dying my hair with food coloring...so i mix it with shampoo and leave it on for an hour...supposedly you need to leave it on for 8hrs. i might have the patience when it gets warmer.
I am thinking i might try for another holiday drink...maybe whisky milk and peppermint extract.

painting
I finished painting my planters cream color and have moved on to the light blue color. after that i will move on to a darker blue. kindof a fun holiday project. my beverage of choice this holiday has been whiskey and eggnog. super combo. i also want to try hot apple cider and whiskey.

worst night
So i totally encountered all these bummer dudes last night when i went out. i guess they were mentally ill so whatever. but what a drag. i didnt puke get robbed or drop anything...except the bar tenders charged me for two beers that were bought for me and one beer i walked out on because the dudes started yelling at me.
All good

Winter
So i have started painting all of my planters...the color is cream. it is actually quite nice and not too many problems dripping paint. i want to do some kind of cool blue design on top of it...perhaps with a stencil or something.
I am having a wicked craving for some heavily spiked egg nog. but i havent broke down and got it. I also found a recipe for homemade irish cream (like baily's)...yummo.

mirrors/flavorwire
I just checked out flavorwire for an article on indie publishing...wow...i have a book i have wanted to publish and its seemed daunting til now. flavorwire is like a real wealth of indie publishing and recotd label type of information.
I just got all this extra paint of freecycle...another good resource...and some leftover remodeling goods...mirrors and stuff from my parents...very exciting. i am going to put them on walls behind plants to improve growing conditions.
Hit up some holiday shopping...mostly fabric was so cheap and some plant seeds, contacts from EU no prescription necessary, snowboard leash and stomp pad, winter tights, slip on shoes.
I also want to do some mirror mosaics cause i have some grout i thought some yard art would be nice. i usually dont prefer mushroom art but im thining i may be able to pull off small cement mushrooms...not coming up with any other ideas besides mosaic stepping stone.

chai
i have been really enjoying this tea...bigelow tea...chai with caramel and chocolate. the chai flavor us awesome...already had the caramel for a while but just got the chocolate...with sweetened condensed milk...super good.casknees.blogspot.co

sweet wines
God i love white zinfandel...it is like so refreshing and pure. i also tend to like a sweeter wines now and again just because of their softness. sometimes i can't get the more acidic or less sweetwines to avail their flavors so a sweet wine is like easy conneasureship.
I also tried a guwertztraminer wine over tday and that was real great. I had forgotten that gawertztraminer was a sweet wine. i really like it...much complexer that a white zinfandel but of course in a different way.

T-day
So i had thanksgiving dinner...it was great...i had kind of lost my appetite by the time dinner rolled around...and ended up puking it all out anyway...oh well. At least i got a couple drinks in and tried everything.
Learned about this horrible animal sacrifice in nepal...wow people are really working to end it. really inhumane even though it is a food sacrifice...very inhumane...a lot of places do that animal sacrifice...really inhumane.
Trying out my blue cheese that i made from scratch. it tastes blue but real mild...nothing sour or salty. it is pretty good.

thanksgiving
I am super looking forward to thanksgiving...even though i read that the whole pilgrim thing was myth and did not happen...along with joan of arc being a weed head and others...oh well....
Thankfully i dont have to cook and can just eat. i almost wanted to cook/bake when i saw all these obscure nut deserts which looked wonderful and festive(especially since i was in vegarian mode).
But making a turkey is so easy if you have an oven and a pan. i wonder what else my hosts are serving. something potato i imagine...other than that i am hopefully going to be surprised.

Steak
So i had a steak and loaded baked potato for dinner with bordelais sause...two glasses of gamay and an ipa for desert. i was quite full afterward but no real food type coma. nice combinations.
I love meat but i rarely eat it because i don't like want to kill animals especially since what i have read is that we are in the century of immortality...last century being the century of war. so naturally i am always brainstorming ideas for eternal life...what does that mean...and addressing paradigms that become visible to me.
Paradigm one: the steak world/sense pleasures/the matrix
Of course meat and potatoes is a great diet...no gluten irritation or dairy irritation of your celia. dense protien...filling carbs...nice sauce...goes well with wine. did the cow die for your pleasures...perhaps...are cows all clones part of the same being...perhaps.
Paradigm Two: you are what you eat
I just had this really cool dream where the hill sides were being carved out with super green design looking houses made with what looked like some nice white clay rock. there were tons of them being built but they looked really low impact and super well designed...really closely fitted. We were driving really fast so it was pretty fun. i somehow attribute "green" dreams or dreams that seem intelligent to beer drinking because they say beer makes you smarter. so eating cow drinking wheat...do you absorb the soul of these items...does it reflect you culturally...make you dream...organize your thoughts in different/new/clear ways. also if we start using other types of materials for food (lab grown meat, 3d printed food) will we eventually use "light" or "space" to print these things and how will that effect our thinking.

goat
Gee i have eaten so little meat lately but i did have some goat on a pizza...pretty good though tasted more like "sausage" than "meat".
Also had some rib on fries with gravy and mushrooms. well again pretty nice...fatty. i wish the gravy was thicker. and sampled some fish and chips...that was the best...really nice fish...thick. then a chicken and biscuits...the biscuits were really good.

fermented greens
So i fermented so wild greens a while back...started them at the end of the summer!! it was a total basic process, i put the greens in a jar with salt and enough water to keep the leaves submerged when pressed. then put another jar(smaller) and screwed the large jar lid on so the small jar would press the leaves down.
I left it for a couple weeks then transfered to water filled jar. im not sure how much they fermented but i guess some because they definately softened somewhat.
Last night i just chopped them up and put some oil and vinegar on them...really good.
I am also making my own blue cheese from a half gallon milk i boiled and added lemon juice to for curdling...mixed in a blue cheese inoculation..pressed it in a mold. now i am aging it for two months for the blue mold to develope. let you know how it is...half month left.

Publishing
I just found all these independant publishers online today...i have a novella size book i want to publish and another one i want to write. i think it would be so cool to be an author full on. Nifty.
Also decorated my xmas tree today with all types of dolls and things ive made.
And got some stuff from aliexpress in the mail...so freakin cheap. i can find the same item on ali for like half the price i find it for on other online retailer.

egg plant plants
My eggplant plants died so i put some tomato seedlings in the pots. i have all my windowsills filled with plants so i made some hanging macrame type pot hangers...really simply...hung plants from the curtain rod attachment on all my windows.
I may do a second level on each but not quite there yet.
back on the blanc
Again having the sauvignon blanc. Gosh i love it. its really chilling down here for the winter. i have just been working on some crochet projects for my shop. i never knew how to crochet but i taught myself and its really quite easy and fun. it opens up a lot of doors with knit projects.
I just started this label recently so i have to see if things will sell great then i can get back into production full scale. production can be great lot of work so i wanted to take some time to chill out and enjoy the brand while i get some ideas to toy on for future seasons.

neighbors
one of my neighbors has moved out...they were like number two of three ungents to move out. i feel bad hoping they move but they are just not the right mix. and i think its ok if my life would improve greatly.
moreover i think they actually want to move and whether its cause i dont fancy them not too sure.
shiraz
wow love shiraz. its pretty fruity in flavor but has some woody undertones. these flavors are kind of subdued under a peppery flavor.

white zinfandel
wow i did not really know how good white zinfandel was. i always thought it was like really more of an earthy floral...soft round floral. this one...trader joes of course is like very zingy...much more interesting not as your average pink but as an actual wine flavor...i think more afficianados are more into less mellow flavors as a rule...especially for digestion...bitterness is such a great health flavor for the liver. i guess i never knew that it tasted like actual wine...i thought it was a different animal.
not that i mind...one can never tell how alcohol affects the palate or 'fume'
Saturday, October 25, 2014
cabarnet savignon
im really liking cabarnet sauvignon. the trader joes variety is really pretty good. i don't know if i definately like it better than merlot...merlot is a little more velvety and soft but the cab sauv seems to be a bit more like a wall one likes to drink with wheras merlot is more like a fabric or petal.
and for whatever reason its great with pasta. i used to think merlot was a better daily wine but now i think the cab is more daily.
probably more because of the soft vs hard tastes of wine. man of the day or wife of the moment

chardonnay
gosh chardonnay is just the best. i am just trying to learn about these wines for now but i am also kindof learning about wine in general. the "boquet" i guess i would call it is quite large...well it can be. i am usually quite a smoker or well tend to smoke. however i take breaks and cut back every so often to save money or what have you...this time because i wanted to expand my wine tasting. well i got quite a hit of flavor from this trader joes chardonnay...it was just one sip...was like a really multi dimensional taste experience...you know like blooming leaves and earthy perfumes...almost feels like it came from my brain you know like to wine had permeated my brain. i also try to think what about my gut or stomach...why one sip of alcohol has such a joy reaction of the tum/brain/body.
but then my sensation stopped after the first sip and went back to normal chardonnay daily level taste.
i just have to wonder is it brain body lungs air or what that causes that real divine reaction.

i hope neighbors will move
i finished my crochet hat...its pretty cool. it may be a little tight but i figured that tight was better than loose. i would like to make some more items so i just have to figure out if i want to make /crochet stuff for myself or for family or for my shop. i am really into the open patterns that you can make in crochet or knitting with the holes and such but i am more partialy to the design and production i think rather than straight creation free hand. with this in mind i will need to check out stitches to learn and brainstorm garments etc. quite fun all in all.

sauvignon blanc
sauvignon blanc is a really mild wine in my best description. it is very crisp and clean tasting i also can't tell if that is just because i drink this version too fast or what.
really a nice wine.
i am also starting to learn to crochet. i chose a pattern a while back to work with and am taking the time to learn all the stitches that go into this pattern. it took me quite some time to translate decipher and get stitching. it is very very cool and fun. i can't actually believe it but i have learned and completed a bit section/swatch of this stitch. cool and super new.
furthermore i am learning a bit of french from a language app on my phone.
i made my veggie meatballs again this time with more sour cream to cook in . i layered them two deep (a mouse had eaten holes in the aluminum pan i used to bake with) so they did not harden up each and every one. i think my third attemp (next time) will allow me to perfect the recipe.

merlot
oh my goodness i just had a glass of charles shaw red wine merlot. it was so good...so flavorful!! now i just have to see what i can learn about it online to add to my knowledge compendium.

pinot grigio
my first wine that i am sampling is pinot grigio. i think the most pervalent characteristic in pinot grigio is "the taste of the look of the grape skins" you can almost taste the grapiness (red grape/purple grape not green/white) of the grape skin in it...my opinion.

latest meals
so i am having the best time...i just got a case of wine!!! trader joes charles shaw inexpensive. i got pretty much all their varieties, a couple bottles of each variety so i can enjoy each grape type on their own but taste em all, never done that :) i am also attempting to make a blue cheese out of hand made home made farmers cheese. will be finished in two months because it must age in the fridge...it is actually pretty wonderful since it can be construed as very annoying ( especially in the recipes i tried to learn from).
so i am also still eating my veggie meatballs and will see how the various wines pair

wine
i have also had the luck to purchase a bottle of sutter hill red. so funny i went in to the store for groceries sunday morning and picked up the bottle...slowly on my way to check out realized it was before noon on sunday! woops...too funny.
but got that wine later cabernet sauvignon. lasted four evenings. i was pretty proud of my tolerance.

veggie meatballs2
i made my veggie meatballs...super success!! they taste almost like regular meat sausage ( i think because of the herbs and other ingredients) but they arent at all greasy. i baked em for 40 min at 350 degrees and that was perf. i also used a sauce to bake them in, half sour cream and half water. i only made it so that the sauce covered the bottom of the pan. originally i had wanted to boil them in sour cream sauce like hungarian style but i somehow figured baking would work. next time i would try to cover them in the sauce one way or another to prevent moisture loss and it does really add some flavour.

veggie meatballs
so i am on this important adventure to make veggie meatballs. i am going to use ground lentils, tvp (texturized vegetable protein) and some eggs and herbs...make them into balls and then bake them in a sour cream sauce...should be great!!

sweets
i have been having the funnest time with my morning coffee ritual time. i have just recently got two types of sweet roll, both with cinnamon, one with a caramel top though no nuts and one with a cream cheese frosting top. they are so excellent and the dough is basically just bread dough so no guilt.
also i realized my chai caramel tea is actually making a pretty good replica of cooked chai because the caramel flavor mimics the caramelization you get when you actually make a cooked chai.
utter brilliance

swiss cheese
i have been trying to eat cheaply, obviously i always do that. my latest fave is kale , pasta and melted swiss cheese or ramen instead of pasta.
i think the swiss is giving me a minor gall bladder attack...either that or the cake donuts. man donuts are so good when your craving a bit of chocolate.
and sweetened condensed milk in my coffee has really upped my quality to like level 10.
i was researching french sauces and how to make them...now i cant decide if i want to.
Saturday, September 20, 2014
latest
i have been thinking about it for a while but i finally got some sweetened condensed milk for my coffee and tea. it is pretty good. i also got some sweet rolls, like a tray of them with frosting and cinnamon. of course i also got the ubiquitous ramen noodles and some goat cheese and some caramel chai tea bags.
pretty cool

labor
so for the past couple days (well yesterday and the day before) i have been just having coffee and taking no food. it has been quite good. seems to be like a seasonal cleanse for me. the few days before that i was having just coffee and a bowl or two of pasta with greens. also very nice. i am feeling like i might want to get some food though. perhaps a breakfast muffin and ramen i can make with greens.
these renters who live in the front of the unit are like old guys who are really pesky. they will be really loud in their conversations. then if i see them they are never just like "hey" they always have this dark and persisting need to talk and try to get me to come back and talk with them. and they always watch me coming and going. it is really frightening because they would always come back to my apt and knock. its really scary! they were both gone this summer for some time...it was like paradise.
i keep praying for them to move out. i guess they are both sick. it really sucks. id like to have normal people living around me.
although before i had another set of neighbors who were really mental, yelling at me and stuff...they had a lot of swords and bunch of dogs...really weirdos...they used to drink all day and do drugs...i was so scared to walk buy and go for groceries...somewhat

indoor plants
i have brought some more plants from outdoors into pots inside :). i have a huge tomato plant and a bunch of basil plants. i guess a few or a lot of plants are tropical perrenials but outside of the tropics they become annuals. i have two more large pots that i am going to put eggplant plants in.
also trying to water my snapdragon a lot in fall so that it survives winter.

pasta dish
so i made my pasta dish that i wanted to. it was very very good.
macaroni pasta
canned tomatoes
lambs quarters greens
gorgonzola crumbles
salt and pepper and ground dried herbs
i just throw the greens in the pasta water when the pasta is almost done, drain and throw in the tomatoes ( i used half a can for two medium size servings of pasta) stir it up to warm the tomatoes, add the crumble (maybe four or five full to above full table spoons) add ground herbs stir and serve. don't forget the salt and pepper, they really brought the flavours forward.

budgeting
i got four cinnamon muffins, ramen, can of tomatoes, and some gorgonzola crumbles...all for 5.87$. now i am trying to have a six dollar a day budget because i have some other stuff i wanted to buy this month (headphones and blender replacement part).
the muffins were really good with coffee. i ate like half the can of tomatoes just cause it was hot and i had refrigerated them for like a gazpacho "chunk" soup. and i put some ground herbs and a tad of vinegar into the ramen. this was totally perfect because the acidity and i beleive msg in the ramen sometimes feels undigestable, but this combination really worked. sometimes i think dried herbs (i have a few dried herbs in a pepper grinder) are overbearing as a flavor but now i realize they really help with digestion and vinegar can really neutralize acidity.
yesterday i also had so pasta a two servings of greens, lambs quarters from my yard. its about nearing the end of season and i had really wanted to puree them and make freen soups as the seasons transition but my blender blade is stuck (nutri bullet) and i have to get a new one or figure how to fix it ( the co. says theres no fix hmm).

crocheting
i am trying to teach myself to crochet...it is pretty funand i am figuring it out little by little. i was originally attracted to crocheting because it can create these great and colorful brocades. its difficult to understand for me though. i think because i have gotten so focused on learning new knitting patterns and stitches now just the conversion in the language is getting me. so i am just trying to break down the pattern bit by bit and see if i understand more and more each time i look at it.
i did once learn a granny square through video but my intetest in that did not hold. i go in and out of like of floral motiff.

days
so another one of my ten dollar purchases:
cream of mushroom soup with roasted garlic
cheddar cheese soup
flour tortillas
cream cheese
chocolate frosting
i also got before:
four pack of heinekin pints
black beans
corn tortillas
lay potato chips
i drank the fourpack, went to the bar :) like 7pm. had a glass of red wine and started looking through a fashion magazine my mum had just got for me. this guy next to me was like " my daughters got into a mag once, i only like them for the skin shots. then i turned the page to some birth control product add and he was like "see this i hate the words pages" i said "thats there for the readers info, its like for women".
i got kind of riled cause i think he tried to touch the mag so i laid my hand on the shoulder of the guy and was like you have gotten out of control calm down, almost sarcasticaly, then he tried to again turn the pages again and be a little raunchy so i did the shoulder thing and said he had gotten out of control, bar tender came over and said this is dumb whats going on. i said he dissed the birth control add i guess the bartender sided with me and asked the dude to pay up. woah.
Monday, September 1, 2014
perfect buy
this was the ultimate buy...
garlic french bread
coffee icecream
vanilla icecream
cream cheese frosting
cinnamon rolls
equaled 10$

new hair
so i dyed my hair today...pretty exciting. i used blonde and red hair dye. it turned out quite well. there are some streaks but they are very subtle and come out more in the light. i did not know if it would work that well but it has worked out pretty well. still working on my dress and that is nice because i can just do a little bit per day and dont have to rush. made some macaroni and cheese using velveeta. that was pretty good. i have all type of greens now growing inside so i can add them to any dish at all.
i dont know, i read that box hair dye is not in fashion. i never know if that means people aren't buying/doing it or people don't think its of or part of fashion. i just think well odd chance that it is under done...they say fashion kills apparel...well i can just think its like clothing for the hair as persay a new trend thats under done.

eatery
had beef ravioli from a can today, my pasta with greens and bag of fritos (chile cheese). i don't often like to eat meat and i wish they made a cheese or veggie one. i really like meat but often veggie/ovo/lacto seems very cleansing and good for my yoga which comes and goes depending on time and drinking :) and the heat!! new veggie options to source...perhaps tamales or beans and tortillas. my little dress is coming along. i am sewing a seasonal skirt elongation for added pazazz. i also have some twill tape i want to add on incase it needs some shape.
ballet
im now working on my high kicks and ballet steps. this will help me become freer in my range of motion and keep me strengthening my balance

new dish
pasta with greens is my new best. i like it with a bit of mayo and a small amount of balsalmic vineagar. now i may try to go through a dieting phase which i think is good as the seasons change.
Monday, August 25, 2014
best recipe to date
angel hair pasta
chard
collards
frozen peas
frozen corn
wild spinach
i just throw this in a pot and some water...bring it to aboil and let it all steam up. at some point, maybe five to ten mins, you have a soup. :)
used coffee
so i made coffee with the used grounds i had from a previous brew....wow worked totally great. i might have always done that had i been in the know. all great though and was i pleasantly surprised when i had an extra cup. conveinence of life huh. it was like an allsups showed up right in my space.
i potted up some kale and chard and brought inside from my outdoor space and gonna do so eggplant and dill aswell. looking up for the approaching winter.
also working on a dress...working together a bunch of leftover scraps from my clothing line (i always like to make some stuff for my own closet...makes me feel more precious!! and spices up the stuff i have from the store if i get bored.)
and my morning glory fence is starting to bloom...small red flowers and huge blue ones. i have only one plant of the blue so far the rest of em maybe 30 seem red. fun
Sunday, August 24, 2014
cocoa
cocoa is also my new quick fix. i can drink like a few cups of it per day and be happy. it has a pick me up like coffee but doesn't have the strength of caffeine that gives me the jitters. and its really calming...i guess because chocolate has so many antioxidants and being a warm beverage...its meditative.
Saturday, August 23, 2014
bugs are gone :)
my bug infection went away on my plants...so happy :)
my latest budget saving food is frozen veggies (defrosted corn and peas). i like to mix em with ramen and mayonaise.
i also got a packet of dehydrated red sauce which was a dollar or fifty cents and it makes three cups...lovely and easy to use for small servings.
i really want to make edamame dip but im out of cooking with oil...just too greasy and sticky because i don't use soap all the time in my kitchen.
maybe i will think of a nice additive instead of oil.

favorite cheap instant foods
these are the foods i have been eating...
hard boiled eggs
tomato soup
cream of celery soup
cream of mushroom soup
refried beans
jalapeno cheese
chunky salsa
mayonaisse
frozen bean and cheese burrito
i ate twelve hardboiled eggs in the space of like ten hours and it didn't give me a stomach ache. i had wanted to cut them in half and eat them with ramen...asian style but that did not happen. the bean burritos were exceptional and really not too heavy though very filling. the jalapeno cheese was really nice...mexican...pretty creamy but more salty.
i ate the salsa by the spoon...ate the whole jar when i came back from the store...instant gazpacho.
bug infection...he he
just planted my bug infection...haha no jk. :) i just brought in my lettuce and theres like a billion aphids on them

hair
now i got sheepherders bread and a box of pastries (my dollar items) then tonight i can get a beer at the bar...although i am thinking about dying my hair too so i have to budget appropriately.

winter gardening
i found out i can grow some veggies indoor this winter...how exciting. i just have to figure out my pots situation.
ramen
now im wondering if ramen is a cheaper food.
i made ramen noodles and kept the sauce aside and muddles with fresh dill and basil. i always make it too salty...well its obviously supposed to be a broth not a sauce. my ramen tasted exactly like dill pickles...it was awesome . i never made that connection before. how very rad.

next up
oh my goodness...i got these "butter rolls" from albertsons and they were like straight croissant dough rolls! they were so very good. also garlic pullaparts which is like this huge ring of bread ( i think ive mentioned it)..this one had way more olive oil in it that the last one i had. it was exceptional. you would think id get bloated or obese from this much bread but i read a bland diet it a good one to stay slim. who knows...it is my two dollar a day diet.
oh and i got this huge garlic bread loaf and ate half of it before realizing the garlic spread was not butter....so funny. probably be pretty good had i stuck it in the oven to melt and toast but i ate it cold anyway.
my best habit...put a loaf of bread by my head on my bed at night then wake up multiple times for a midnight snack completely famished...i dont even have to get up...gives me a lot of energy for the day :)
i don't know whether the checkout people notice this habit of buying their day old stuff all the time. i guess they'd be glad to know it helps me save up to drink beer.
eventually i hope to do some paid modeling stuff or chick snowboard photos. i had some guy take some photos...he wanted to set me up for an unpaid shoot but he was not exactly my sauce. so i will just keep working at it. wish me luck.

salads
i have been eating a few salads as well made from the lettuce i have been growing. my favorite dressing is tahini watered down, a little hot sauce and some salt and pepper (and tons of fresh dill-yummo). i prefer almost a slight chopped salad rather than full or partial leaves. and i have been eating tons! of lambs quarters greens from the garden. i have been just steaming them in my cast iron skillet (i am still trying to clean up all the oil and grease from my cooking forays this spring-almost got it all-fresh start)
frost date
so i am trying to figure out what plants i can bring inside over the winter...everything is doing pretty good but i think i lost a couple tomato plants...not sure why...and my heavenly blue morning glory arbor is seeming a little slow. i guess i have another month and a half on a lot of this stuff. i am not exactly sure when frost is...i forget.

soar
oh my...i am so soar from my jog...it was like a two hour thing. i went and got a beer after and everything was fine. now i am quite soar. super.

beer time
so i have started my jogging route...i have jogged/walked it once and jogged once with two breaks for stretching. it is awesome!! i am also just getting back into my ballet and yoga routine. so all good

parmesan foccia
so today i picked up a loaf of parmesan foccia. reduced day old stuff but super good. the bread was soft and chewy with a thick layer of the the hard grated parmesan on top...very slightly browned. the dough was well herbed and had just a lil olive oil on the bottom, not greasy.
day before i had a ring loaf of garlic pull-aparts...white dough with some garlic rub on top. it almost seemed to have a tomato flavor too. interesting. oil on the bottom but not on the inside of the loaf.

iron
now i am convinced its not iron but perhaps conditioning and experience that convinced me of the cause and circumstance of iron loss.
Monday, July 21, 2014
so now
i have become a professional eater of greens from my garden. i want to blog about that constantly. i love lambs quarters. i was talking to these chef guys from boston and they were like all about it...and were very keen on nopa in denmark which is a restaurant that does a lot of foraged greens.
i am also still loving my day old baked goods...they are super cheap and all that mass produced bakery stuff is enriched with nutritionals to the hilt. i also drink a bottle of koolaid which has one of the highest vitamin c content of anything. vitamin c helps the absorbtion of iron.somehoe these three things (and a daily beer) seems to jeep my iron levels up.
before i did all this i was getting a little light headed because i was doing all this strength training and yoga. now i have completely stopped the exercise (haha) but i think i will be able to get back into it a bit without suffering from iron depletion and heat exaustion type nausea.

model size
i got this really nice blueberry cake from albertsons (a grocery store). it was a half cake...a pudding cake. i guess that means it has pudding in it.
i have two more clothing items that i have been trying to fit into and now i think i might have done it. i sewed two pair of shorts with 22 inch leg holes and couldnt quite say they were a perfect fit. now i have been walking so much i have got them down to 21". this is great. supposedly for the runway you need 24" waist and 18" thighs. so this is my next goal.

neighbors stuff
my neighbor with quad bypass just got all the things removed from his house by his daughter. she came and stayed for a couple days and just took truckload after truckload of trash to the dump. he was a hoarder and had old pizza boxes and everthing...i guess you couldn't even walk through.
new diet
i finally finished my walmart 20lb of rice so new diet will consist of:
lambs quarters and purslane from garden (sauteed)
day old goods from albertsons
one pint in the evening
koolaid
this diet will be high in iron and vitamin c (very nurtitive) and i will get a beer everyday which is supposed to be one of the more heart healty things. it should also be vegetarian -unless i break down and get a burger. i am thinking 7$ a day :) Super!!

trash food
this is so funny:
my mom got me all these groceries and i got really unhungry all of a sudden so i put them by the trash right. the next day my neighbor took em. i went around and told him they were mine, so he gave me five bucks and gave me back some items.
all in all he has
organic garbanzo beans
organic celery
organic carrots
bread
bagels
four 16 oz coconut juices
i got
four organic ramen
firm tofu
small chocolate milk
tahini jar
large bag or brown bananas
he also took the carrots celery from the trash after i said i own the items i put in the trash. they are not free for the taking. im going to ask him for five more bucks

neighbors
the weirdos in the back just got in a massive argument. i think they are mentally ill so what do i care. the guy in front just had a massive quadruple bypass surgery and he is mentally ill...again so what do i care. now his daughter has to take care of him...i hope he moves out...as well as well as the weirdos in the back...they are an older couple...i think.
actual smoothie
so i got a bunch of lettuce, oranges, and raw sunflower seeds to make smoothies with. i had a couple smoothies with dark greens and it kind of gave me the naseau you can get from like wheat grass...just very strong chloryphyll taste. so i thought lettuce as my base...its very mild. i learned vitamin c is good for maintaining iron in the body so the oranges are good for that and raw sunflower seeds are extremely high in vitamin e which is a really good skin vitamin. i ate a pack of them last week and my skin was baby soft.
so this diet should probably be good for me to get back into my exercise routine...so fresh and juicy!!.

foraging salad
today i am making a salad from lambs quarters otherwise known aswild spinach. i am marinating them with white balsamic and oil and dried herbs.
trying to get back slowly into my yoga and ballet routine and trying to figure what diet will be better.
i guess the weirdo guy in front with the tv's had quadruple bypass surgery on his heart so he is not here and i have been recouping on some lost sleep.
got cheetos chicken nuggets and a cookie dough milkshake yesterday. the milkshake was straw material not spoon. i really also want to get a blizzard from wendy's ( shake was from baskinrobbins)
Tuesday, June 17, 2014
burger king
recipe for success:
2 double bacon cheeseburger
large fries
vanilla milkshake
going to the shake shack tomorrow to compare.
five star
so i thought five star was all ok except i went in day before yesterday and the lady (who i already thought was a mongrel) was like so rude. i asked if they were hiring and oh my god...the tirade i got was obsene. i later dropped off a resume (the mongrel lady had already basically told me there is no way we can hire you) and had a few beers. at some point she came back on the attack and said you are cussing too loud for the young children in our bar and said i might need to leave and asked me if i wanted to take it outside. i said no the young children in the bar cant even hear me cussing ( im actually not even sure i was cussing to be straight). the young children said no they had not heard any cussing. so i sat down and the white bald 80 year old misogynist type and bartender mongrel said again that no i did need to leave so i left....didn't even get to drink my last beer or pay. their loss. so much for childrens rights at bars.

smoothies
moving into the warmer season...i really want to start making fruit and veggie smoothies to keep me going. i really like the dosa but i got bored of having to cook over the hot stove so much.
i have been really interested to see how this transition could go...and also have been wanting to satisfy a couple cravings in between.
my major craving was to try a wine cocktail. these wine cocktails (i read about them on serious eats and thought they were totally different...the idea really set in) are made with wine, juice, liquor, tea, hot sauce and or bitters. i skipped the bitters and used sweet moscato from argentina (white), orange pinapple juice, peach green tea with herbal infusion from my garden, vodka, chili lime sauce from mexico.
oh my god. these cocktails helped me beat the heat for a couple days.
i also had to get burger king burgers and fries, mc donalds egg mc muffins, one meat wrap and one meat foot long from the grocery. i had a ball. i also had a great happy hour slider from five star, a bunch of ramen, and a bunch of beer. perfect way to kick off summer...not miss out and get a touch of perspective on how i like my low calorie diet as opposed to a no holds barred diet.
i also got a chocolate cake to round it all off. even thought i am usually vegan and sugar free...i enjoyed my craving exploration.
now for my smoothies i will do greens fruit veggies and sunflower seeds, maybe soymilk...not totally sure though.

weirdos in back
so this is so weird....the neighbors behind me are now acting mental. i was outside gardening and the lady makes this weird woo sound like a mentally disabled person would. she actually always makes that noise however in the past i thought she was talking to the cats. now im wondering if she does that just whenever. i always feel like a weird presence from their house. furthermore i have heard bad domestic disputes also. im not sure if they are just off their rocker or some problem with their grip on reality. i can't tell...thought i would share my experience.
anyways i got some cleome to come up from seed and heirloom kale.
still waiting on foxglove delphinium and a couple others
Saturday, May 24, 2014
plants
i have now planted eggplant, tomato, dill and lettuce. i think i also found some melon seeds that might have sprouted out of my compost...so cool. and i have chard andcollard greens.
so there are now two crazy guys in the front of my house...i guess they suspected i was missing because some of my lawn furniture had been moved. so now they are making themselves a nuisance to me. i tried to explain that iam not interested in their friendship and complainedto the landlord that they are unwelcome in my space. all good.
this year i am also trying to plant some hollyhock ( summer carnival variety) from seed and oh yeah basil.
i got a bunch of seeds but some have not come up:
cleome
foxglove
canterbury bells
delphinium
blue dwarf kale
i will keep trying, could be a good season. its been raining the past couple days so everything shall have a good start.

foraging
my new contribution to my daily dosa's are wild greens.
i had ordered some veggie seeds a while back (and had also gotten some as xmas presents) but the ones i was really going to need immediately ( i juat got off food stamps) was kale and lettuce to round off my plan. they did not sprout...well the kale didn't. so wondering how to get my veg i looked to my yard...and lo...there are all these dandelion greens growing. i moved them into a bed with the lettuce and now i can add rhe leaves to the dosa as filler.
and i got all my sprouts planted ( well some) eggplant, tomato, dill. going well.
the dandelion is totally my favorite but i also am getting some lambs quaters so very nice.

herb chutny and crispy dosa
ok i think ive even made another perfection to dosa cooking my way. I have started grinding the rice dry then soaking. I add a little wheat flour and my latest addition is a herb chutny. oregano. mint. rosemary. thyme. white balsalmic vinegar. and also ive been adding much more oil to the pan...it all seems to get cooked through this way. maybe i will add a pic soon. i have been doing brown rice and white rice each on their own and that works well.
also a way to make the dosa thin is to use the back of the sppon to smmoth the batter out in concentric circles.

other blog
please check out my other blog www.phaderewaw.wordpress.com. it is all stuff i have made out of new and recycled fabrics. there is also jewelry. all clothing items coming with my label tag which is original artwork.
now i have been eating a lot of rice with herbs and a dab of peanut butter. i bake it in the oven...comes out kind of earthy in flavor...very nice.
i have also been making a lot of dumplings (fried) they are super fast and tasty.
i am trying to grow some kale to make smoothies also.
bird update: i really get annoyed by them and tried to clear out nests...but it says online to remove brush piles etc. well the neighbors have like a whole junkyard and that must be why they are here in the first place. i read to remove food source and shelter source and they will probably get they message. very cool

eating plum cake
so i broke into my fruitcake/plumcake. i wanted to preserve it until xmas but i waa a bit squeamish that i might waste another bottle of rum on it if it wasnt good. it is good and i think i did the right thing.
very spicy...it has peanut butter though because i did not melt it...i think some just fell to bottom ( i noticed one big chunk. i would add more and melt it in.
id make it again or any rum cake...just a matter of having the money.
i also wanted to blog on a pasta dish i made where i brined some oregano and dandelion greens in a chile sauce and balsamic vinegar...reaaly good.
and now baking mini bread loaf in a ramekin

hydration
so i am back doing calorie restriction...it is great...through all my experiments i think i have managed to detox quite a bit and i think my energy has gone up...so thats great.
otherwise i cant beleive they havent found jay ott...wow...i cant beleive.
and the malaysian airliner...wow.
im happy though that spring is around...warming up...i cant wait for summer and i can put my heat on off for a chunk of time.
looking good :)

car doors
ok well now i am convinced that the bang/boom sound is car doors being slammed. :) really relieved...and having some peace of mind.
my latest food creation is sweet pancakes. They are great. i just use my sourdough starter (with the fermented dosa batter-rice and lentil) add flour sugar and then make them like a folded dosa...once they are folded in the pan i flatten the roll/fold with the back of my spatula to make sure all the batter gets cooked.
they are pretty good.

latest creations
so i am still hearing banging noises. i was convinced that they were car doors being slammed outside and the noise was carried. but now i heard some more banging and they didnt sound very muffled. oh dear. i really hope he isnt doing it to bug me because that just doesnt seem right.
anyway i made a peanut butter pie. i used a oil water flour crust...laid it in a pie dish...then poured in melted peanut butter and sugar mixed with oil water flour and baking powder. it was excellent...really mild...nice for breakfast when you wake up hungry. i also made another corn pie with sugar and masa and a loaf of yeast bread...this loaf rose a bit more because i made slices in the top but i probably could have made em deeper because it still kind of mushroomed from the bottom.
i am also experimenting with a yeast fermentation on my dosa batter...it is really sour now...i read about how people keep a crock of starter and add dough scraps all the time and it will just ferment away. i guess you can use it in cakes too.
and newest is marinating some dandelion green for a chutny.
i guess the sounds could be something other than a human banging. i just hate it oh well...hopefully it will stop.

crazy guy in other apt
these birds are psycho...they are always fighting. i think the main problem is the they chirp so loudly in my window. i am like are they trying to wake me up. and it doesnt help that the person in the other unit has some sort of disfunction where he cant sleep except for sometimes. i guess i am lucky to have it so easy though.
i have read about people whose kept awake all night by mental people screaming on the other side of the
wall .i feel like he is watching me through the walls like all the time.
i am really hopeful it will get better...sometimes i can prevent myself from thinking like this though.
and also i feel like if i just stay really positive...he's probably moving on anyways.
he is just a weirdo who never goes out...an ex mental patient i guess.
i think the main reason why i feel so bothered is because he doesn't seem to have any awareness of the world around him. i think he is from Minnesota

bread
now i am eating a loaf of bread where i forgot to make slices in the top when i baked it. i guess somehow that prevents it from rising. this bread is super dense :) but tastes pretty good anyway.
trying to figure out what to make next...maybe more dosa or empanadas.
also being careful with my big grain bags...i have 25 lb flour from walmart now and i think i already broke one of my fridge droors putting 10lb of sugar in there...all great...i don't think its too bad.

new thoughts
today is friday...i am so happy...i am trying to gather email addresses for my new fashion line i am starting. I just went to betsey johnsons website to collect some ideas for press. one of her ads was about corporate rule. i got so pissed
..like corporate is not the rule. well sometime it may be a good system. but like did betsey johnson put that up there to incite strife...because that pisses me off or just to make people rebellious. perhaps just to draw attention to an issue. i guess i hadnt thought they were the ruler. no idea.

real dosa now
ok i think i got what i would call a real dosa! crispy bottom and soft top...rolled up nicely. i am so very proud of myself for my continued efforts.
furthermore i made a shortbread with oats. i only used oil sugar oats and flour. i cant tell if regular shortbread uses powdered sugar. mine was a bit flakier and less doughy. i think next time i will add a bit of salt though. the taste is great.
i also made a corn ( masa) pie with flour sugar baking powder and salt. i poured the batter onto an oil crust. this is supremely good. i havent bought sugar in a long time because i was using stevia...but now i am trying to grow stevia so i am using sugar til then i guess.
Monday, March 24, 2014
dosa again
ok well i am still trying this dosa thing since i use the batter to thicken soup and have been experimenting with pancakes...so i have been working on consistency of batter, pan grease, and soaking/fermenting time. since its still a tad chilly where i am i have been trying just to soak the batter longer rather than to ferment it...this has shortened my cooking time. and i use now pam to spray grease my pan.
i am starting to get a dosa...they are still too thick but still a rice lentil pancake. i did one batch where i added flour and baking powder and peanuts and that worked real well. then i did another batch with just rice and lentil...my rice was a little "aldente" but overall very good.
now i am just trying to double grind my mix andexperiment a bit more.
Sunday, March 23, 2014
why? why? why?
so i guess this is my complaining section...the person that lives next to me ( separate apt separate door smae house) is like sometimes banging a lot...like noise. he is an older guy and pretty much never has guests that i notice. i cant figure out what this guy is banging on or what for.
now i am waiting for two new seeds i ordered lettuce and hollyhock.
next recipes
sometimes i hear the bird chirp at night but it is kind of hard to tell since they live in the roof alcoves.
anyway I ordered more flour so I can make my shortbread...I may put some oats in it too. and after that i want to make some banana or pumpkin cake. :)
Saturday, March 22, 2014
next day
i have been trying to get these birds to shut up for like years...and since the crow left...well i think maybe the birds will take off. i was lying in bed this morning trying to sleep in and they are just cheeping so loudly. i am sure they will move soon...you know positivity usually works.
my next goal in life is shortbread...with or without oats.

diet plan
i am trying to decide what to do next for my diet plan. i have a couple tops i want to stretch out because they are tight. i have read that there are two options for this...gain weight to stretch them out or lose weight. my clothes fit way loose when i did my soup diet and now seem to be normal.
i want to do the soup diet again because it feels so tonifying...but i have all these other cravings for cookies and chocolate that probably not go away. i want to get a cocoa mix from walmart...like 2$ for 20 oz, make shortbead and buy a donut machine. it is all pretty cheap so perhaps it will all work.
Wednesday, March 19, 2014
foods made
so from walmart i bought:
white flour
whole wheat flour
lentils
dehydrated potatoes
brown rice
white rice
peanut butter
prunes
peanuts
marshmallows
graham crackers
and i made:
peanut pie
plum cake
parotta
potato filled chapati
mashed potato pie
lentil and rice pie
lentil and rice mush
pancakes
tortillas
naan
biscuits
my calorie restriction seems to not be happening but the lentil rice mush is a good soup base and soup is a great calorie restriction food.

another bird
so now that the crow is gone there is one bird that is singing its song in the morning. actually this bird has been signing its song since i ve lived here. though it has gotten quieter at times. perhaps it will follow the likes of the crow and go away. it can be so loud.
i made parotta last night and baked naan. they both worked out much better than expected. i had been looking for the parotta recipe for a long time and finally found it. so happy to have tried it out.
Thursday, March 13, 2014
no crow
so my crow has left. i think he was a young crow and just making a post of my home for a little while...something in his ecosystem led him here. spring continues springing. i have a lot of plants that i am trying to decide what to keep inside and what to transplant outside. i am also getting some kale and lettuce seeds in the mail. as well as canterbury bells...foxglove...and pretty bonnets...and stevia. very cool
Wednesday, March 12, 2014
pancakes
i have been making pancakes while i contemplate how to make dosa and idli...trying to see if i can make them with my current lentils.
my pancakes are wheat oil baking powder and watee. they come out a bit gelatinous like a crepe or south indian pancake.
i have still been making my dosa batter but just baking in a baking dish. today some of the white rice batter(i make separate batter from white rice brown rice and green/red lentil) was not totally mixed in with the other so when it baked, there were sections that seemed just like idli. the batter does not seem to really be fermenting but maybe if i just use white rice...keep you posted.
Sunday, March 9, 2014
improve the recipe
wow so im reading about people making dosa with pinto beans and brown rice. i am having sucess with wheat flour pancakes....i think i just need to heat my pan more more more and use oil and ferment my batter more.
it is very cool though that one can get such a densely packed protein pancake with such type of ingredients.
Saturday, March 8, 2014
idli?
my dosa didnt work because the batter was too thick an i used a different kind on lentil. i think in the future for dosa to work for me...i would need to really oil the pan...perhaps use different lentil...and thinner batter. i think it may be in the pan though. i read dont use same pan for roti and dosa.
now since i dont have an idli pan i will just bake some of this batter in a cake pan until i can upgrade my process.
my two layer fruitcake is soaking up some xtra rum...looks good.
i also made a peanut cake with marshmallows...not very sweet but a graham cracker crust on the bottom helps out. probably go back to box cake after this.
Friday, March 7, 2014
lentil mush
ok dosa update first:
the outcome was good foodwise though not much like dosa.
it was kind of like cream of wheat...i didnt add enough water and stuch to pan...pan was too dry i suppose.
fruitcake update:
just came out of oven. batter looked good...cooked extra long...might be a tad burned...got two cakes instead on one...may have used too much spice.
could be a success...smells like rum.
dosa
so i will attempt to make dosa today...the batter probably is ok but did not double in size.. it should be an interesting experiment either way.
i made biscuits also incase its all a total miss.
Thursday, March 6, 2014
food adventures
i got my food supplies and thus far have made tomato rice...potato chapati...tortillas...pancakes.
my next attempt will be dosa. i really liked the calorie restriction and am kind of sad to be eating but nice not to have to deal with the cravings.
oh yeah i also made a small loaf of bread which turned oit really really well...surprised i still had it in me...havent made a yeast bread in years.
i also want to try making some laminate dough pastry.
all very exciting.
Wednesday, March 5, 2014
foods
so chopped the prune and am soaking it with rum was going to bake today but now i am just going to soak the rum prune and spices.
cooked some rice and tomato sauce...fun
Tuesday, March 4, 2014
supdate
i got my walmart stuff...prunes are marinating in rum...i will bake it tomorrow.
i have been so hungry with my calorie restriction i made like7-10 tortillas with flour salt baking soda and oil. man oh man have i been hungry :)
how fun.
rum
now i even get to purchase the rum for my fruitcake or peanut putter plum cake. i thought i wouldnt have enough but alnertsons has gold rum for 7.49$ hooray.
i really wanted to get a king cake but not even sure if its mardi gras...it must be.
i will soak the plum in rum first...and figure out my graham cracker crust next..
adaptation from pie cake.
and hopefully it will cure to xmas.

dogs
these dogs have been barking for like hours on end...its hilarious...don't they go hoarse. its actually kindof illegal where i live. oh well...i don't even know where its coming from.
now i am planning my next purchases from walmart for next month and i think i might get a bunch of tomato paste and try to mix up some soup base like what i have going now. its pretty good prices and you can order in bulk. i love getting things in the mail. whoop
now march :)
i woke up so early today...one of my goals over the next couple years...i have usually gotten my fair share of sleep bu i like early mornings before the sun rises so much.
i also got ingredients to make one of my fruitcake recipes though wont have money for the rum just yet...but i guess they can be aged for six months type of thing once you get the rum in. some even go for three years or ten years...what i read...like cheese or wine i suppose. i will include peanuts prunes or plums peanut butter melted marshmallows and have a grahsm cracker crust...and chocolate on top. i am hoping a dark rum can pull all this together with the spice mixture i've got going...never made this dish but researched it.
and got ingredients for some indian items i want to try...very very exciting. i ordered from walmart...how cool and random...peanut butter for 2 bucks and free shipping over 50$.
Sunday, March 2, 2014
spring? almost?
aha...today i am up before the birds. we finally got our rain...more than a sprinkle...i think it rained the whole night through. this will be great...what do they say...spring rain=summer flowers. i am so pleased.
Friday, February 28, 2014
end of the month
i am so happy its friday!!! and the end of the month...i have been doing this calorie restriction sortof by accident because some clothing order i placed made a duplicate....so i had to rely on what i already had in the fridge....asian sauces veggies can of beans loaf of bread half jar of peanut butter and some noodles. its been fine but daunting not to go to the store for like sweets etc.
however i have made it living on primarly clear soup broth thickened with those afformentioned ingredients divided up over26 days ( the peanut butter and noodles i finished in probably the first week)
but now i feel so well and tight clothes are fitting so much better i will have to see if i use this months money toward junk food or whatever
rain and wind
i thought it was almost going to rain or snow last night. it seemed to drizzle or something and now it feels warm again. oh well end of february...trying where to plant my seedlings and such.
i wish i had more planters i'd just keep them inside
Thursday, February 27, 2014
updates
wow i am loving this blogging thing!
now its looking like it might become winter again....ahhh oh well. my only main concern is one plant i have which has been almost totally killed off. i have been trying to save bits and pieces of it through clippings but now they seem to be doing poorly again. i am not sure if the cold will be kind to them. not good...oh well.
my crow is being more polite and crowing softer...my calorie restriction also is going well...i feel quite lithe and don't have to concern myself so much with food prep and such...furthermore a lot of my food cravings have gone away...no longer feel starving. wonderful.
Wednesday, February 26, 2014
crow bird
this crow is so funny...it will crow for like half hour before i wake up...great alarm clock. the other birds used to do that...now its the crow.
there are doves also...love seeing them roost in the tree out my window.
Tuesday, February 25, 2014
fruitcake
i just found a paula dean recipe for no bake fruitcake...with cherries graham cracker dates pecan sweetened condensed milk marshmallows coconut and bourbon. sounds so good and sweet. i almost want to bake one though...oh well its probably more of a christmas thing though
warming up
i am most blissed however waking up to the quiet. it is starting to warm up a bit for spring and that is really great. i have started some seedlings to so we shall see what comes up. i already have some bulbs and some dill i think coming up. :)

cravings
well my calorie restriction has been going quite well. i am sleeping much better and really dont get super hungry. i have been studying favorite recipes in the evenings to sate my cravings...biscuits and bread and fruit cake. i have a couple recipes or ideas for recipes that i am formulating in my head.
i cant figure out what is the best rum and fruit dosage for these fruit cakes...i think the stronger the better.
also looking and some danish pastry recipes and muffin recipes...i always admire people that make so many things out of flour.
Friday, February 14, 2014
waking up
im waking up to the birds these days...very lovely. i left my heat off this year as an experiment so i sleep under like four comforters and a couple quilts. there is even a crow around that crows in the morning.
Thursday, February 13, 2014
enjoyments
so this calorie restriction thing is going great...i discovered the use of cornstarch to thicken soups etc. it is great...i can just and like boullion, herbs, water, flavorings and cornstarch...boil...whisk...and have like a thicker soup that a broth.
i also like adding some egg white and whisking for an even more satisfying time.
i used to think calorie restriction was like a jewish thing. now i am grinding veggies and adding them...next step try some south indian flat bread type items...hmm the possibilities are endless.

calorie restriction
so i have been reading in the news etc how calorie restriction can be a great way to increase longevity and boost health. i thought this was totally bogus but i am trying it and i think its kindof cool.
it really provides the dynamic yoga sessions that i remember from times when i used to fast. i try eating a lot of spices and spicey things to keep my cravings low. try it if you like it
