Cookies

I got all these box cookie mixes last xmas on clearance and froze them.  I thought they would be all stale but they arent.  I just added coconut oil and water.

Another cookie i did was mix a can of pumpkin with spice cake box mix. Really good and healthy.

Coconut flour protein balls

Coconut flour
Cashew butter
Matcha powder
Organic honey
Coconut oil

These are super good...i have been seeing a number of baked goods with matcha and so i bought some.  I got matcha with green tea and is still fine with great matcha flavor.  This is my first time using coconut flour and it is very much more tastier than i expected.

I wanted to get hazelnut flour to experiment in these but ran outs of cash'ee...someone offered to pay for it and i was so shocked i did not accept and may do a hazelnut item in the future.

I am getting very into gluten free...it seems totally doable and since i eat vegg a lot its an easy sell on protein.  Grain free baking being the alternative.

Butterscotch fudge

I tried the butterscotch with vanilla fudge.  It wasnt as good as the chocolate.  I would try a different flavor of frosting to mix with the chips if i were to do it again.

Now i am all into brown rice and lentils with coconut oil and herbs.

Fudge

Made a super fudge by melting chocolate chips and can of cake frosting. Great consistency and so easy.  I did chocolate and chocolate and also want to do butterscotch and vanilla

Compost

I just got like a whole trashcan of compost from my parents to put into my garden!!! And the helped me do all this weeding.

Eating brown rice and lentils and trying to think about xmas gifts.

I had a great beef stew last night with red chile and some really nice quesadilla triangles...corn tortilla and like cotija.

Pancakes

So tried my banana pancake and substituted just flax instead of flax and egg...worked pretty good. A coiple things are standing in my way...one being room to work with the spatula...coconut oil control...and learning the cooking time.

These were sweeter than with the egg and overall less mushy...so good

Turkey sandwich and petitions

I have been signing all these petitions on "thepetition site" and "take part" for all these animal welfare issues.  It is pretty cool...there is a lot of animal abuse of many types and this seems to really help.

I had a wonderful turkey sandwich with brie and cranberry sauce and arugula.  I dont eat a lot of meat...maybe three times a week.

I am going to be in a fashion show for recycled fashion in november :)

Pretty pleased

new favorite foods and runway bars

So ive been loving: Raw brocolli Oatmeal Brown rice Banana Black beans Blackeyed peas White rice I ran out of cash at the end of last month so i wanted to go downtown when i was hungover and i didnt have any cash so i made a couple trips and just walked around. There are some really walking areas in which you can just take off into sprints and take flying leaps to express the whimsy of movement...on and off curbs through patio stations. Pretty fun. Easy way to pass a hangover and still have some fun. I also finally found out where to purchase a clamato michelada...2.50$ awesome for a pint. Now im back to work and drinking lime and water to recover my liver and get my spending to stop running over. Though people always leave leftovers around downtown and such for the starving atrists its nice to fix up a dish at home and i realized theres still cheap beer at the grocery...one doesn't always have to get drunk at the bar todolavia.

red and green chile options

I made a chicken and a pork option. Red chile with pork and green chile with chicken. Some of the meat got tenderer with the cooking time and extra hand shredding. I seared the pork before boiling in chile and water and not the chicken...i did not notice a difference in richness of the sauce. I would deffinately do this again...great way to hit up meat sales and do two ingredient dishes. I might also try tofu or different meats or different chiles or flavors and do the shredded or cubed or long cook times.

great soup

So i just made the greatest soup that is pretty cheap and sustainable. Wild greens (dandelion and lambs quarters) Olive oil Cornstarch Thyme (dried and ground) Water Powdered chicken boullion Pepper I pureed the raw greens with the olive oil and some water to make a nice emulsification. I added the cornstarch to a pan of water and wisked it in til it disolved then added the greens emulsification to the pan and added the boullion and thyme and pepper. I turned the heat on and wisked it til it thickened...added a bunch more water and cooked on low for like 10 min to get the bitterness out. Very very good.

partying so hard

Gee i have been partying so much latelty. There is a happy hour that i recently discovered where you can get 2.50 pints ( i guess they do charge tax though) so i have drank a lot of them. In other news i just made a dandelion green and lambs quarters soup. I ground a bunch of leaves with water in a blender added some powdered chicken boullion and pepper and a squirt of mayo. It was pretty good...i just brough the mix to bowl but it was very bitter and i may cook it longer if i do it again.

apetite and the ascetic

So i finally got over my foods and then dieted a week...then got a loaf of french reduced priced bread...large blick of cheddar and some whole wheat hot dog buns...as well as cranberry shortbread and chocolate frosting which i ate but got got into a real bad food coma. My parents were delayed returning from vacay and we were supposed to go out so i had to eat a block/brick of cheese. Rough and stuff. so i couldnt even eat when they invited me out the next day...ha ha ha. No i am working on bullet proof coffe and doughnuts. I was gifted ingredients for the coffee but i did not know it had to be blenderized to make it creamy and was just drinking oil on top my coffee. i guess i didnt have enough cigarettes for my cpu to get that message.

New things to try

So i've been dieting really hard to accomplish some health goals and it was my b-day so i felt conpelled to eat and drink relatively hard for about a month. This entailed some belgian beer Japanese plate Corona Tequilla Killians beer Whole chickens Chips Bread loaves Wine Weight loss tea Bullet proof coffee Cheese Raisin bread Valentines chocolates Candy bars Cottage cheese Espresso lattes Panetone Rice crackers Heart pastries Hard cider Ipa Heinikin Chinese food Sake Hamburger and fries Red velvet cupcakes Brownie cookies Sticky buns Bear claws This all started like three years ago when I went of a bread and velveeta diet after some leading to some smoky cooking fire for stir fry. i collected all asian flavour sauces from the store and started to make ear popping soups. After this i went on a bread/pastry diet...two bags a day. Then got off that to go on a coffee diet ...got to my appropriate model size...and got to my birthday season whence i had to eat and drink. i may recover...its looking good for all goals to be won.

Beer day

I got o dells ipa six pack...holy shit talk about a mellow kick in the head... Trying to decide whether size three womens is in the same category as size one zero...and at what point one can or could distinguish vanity sizing from your traditional (eurotrash)sizing

soap

I got a candy mold i wanted to use to mold out some old thin soap remnants...melting soap is really hard and i ended up putting the half melted soap into a ramekin to harden. this really worked and now have a whole new bar of soap. Had a bottle of irish cream...built a little clothes hanger And ate a fried portobello mushroom with muenster cheese Submitted my just typed novella to a couple publishers And am working on quilting shawls for my online store

phone calls

This is so funny...i had been getting this call from an unrecognized number multiple times. i was like really racking my brain to think who it was...kind of freaked me out cuz i dint recognize it. Now i finally got a message that it was a friend/acquaintance from way back...i did not know they would be calling me. Oh well blast from the/a past. i havent been partying like that time anyway...so i will just decline unless it seems appropriate. i was somewhat frightened. :)

Oyster sandwich

Oh my god i had a fried oyster sandwich yesterday with red chile mayo...pretty good...made me realize how tasty seafood is. Yummo. Also french fries fried in duck fat. I am trying to learn some good cocktails to make and have been reading on cocktails.com (about.com). There are some really fantastic ideas i have seen. People are really into it obviously. Returned the coffee maker to walmart at the regular post office. Not too difficult once they changed my return service to usps from fedex. And trying to get a refund to a closed debit card...this is also something i am working on from my holiday shopping. Got four pair moddeal shoes in mail.. They all look super.

Saturday, February 7, 2015

return to w-mart

Finally processed my return to walmart...that was like the funniest thing ever but i got to talk to like 10 or more customer service people over the course of a few days. I assesed all of their manner types and approaches to service and assistance as well as how much they could offer to the customer and how fast. it was pretty funny cuz i was so piss-ed at myself for making the return in the first place. How grand. Somewhat, not really. But it all seems good now and i have a espresso maker that i wanted...also really inexpensive deal on espresso grounds.

led light bulbs

I got these LED light bulbs from chine for super cheap. they took like twenty days to arrive but glad they got here! They are supposed to really cut down on electricity use and i think the ones in the states are like 16$ a pop. Very cool. Trying to return my espresso machine but the fed ex guys haven't come to pick it up...i guess i have two more hours...not the biggest fan of shippin or receivin packages in the dark but cest la vie.

Thursday, February 5, 2015

espresso cups

So oddly enough i did not get my espresso cups with my espresso maker. the company, continental even said that model doesn't come with cups at all and never did since 2011. So walmart is incorrect there. I even got them to send a replacement because they said it should have the cups and saucers and spoons. The replacement did not have it. it is so funny they make you sign an affadavit to get a replacement.wow. Well i hace had lattes the past couple days and they are very very darn good...so the espresso maker is fantastic. I guess it would have been nice to get the cups but i'm somewhat sure they not come along. i will have to buy my own if i want a set for posterity.

Tuesday, February 3, 2015

replacement

I got my espresso machine which i was so excited about...but there were no ceramic cups! Ah so annoying. i caled continental and they checked their manual and said there was no indication the item came with cups. I called walmart and they are going to send me a replacement to see if it comes with cups and saucers...but i have to return the one i got which entails going to fed ex...not sure i will get the cups anyway.

shoe

Remember how i said i had 20 shoes in my cart at moddeals...well i purchased four of them...sure was thrilling....would have loved to have gotten all 20. Yum

Espresso machine

I just ordered an espresso machine from walmart...i have been having the most large cow due to the fact that im budgeting for the month. i thought i should get a moka pot because its cheaper. But the espresso machine i found out today comes with four stainless steel spoons and four ceramic cups and saucers...what the f---! Cool. I paid 27$ but moka pot is bout $5. only reason i am stressing is cuz some other purchases i would make would fill that 20$ area. Oh well. Also...moddeals shoes...whoa...i had 22 pair in my cart for like 10$ a piece and was going to purchase them because i saved a bit of change in january...however i think maybe just 8 pair. i feel dumb but relatively cool. what if the shoe really wirks for me? Maybe i will go to 5/6...

saki flight!

I was lucky enough to have a flight of saki yesterday...perfect way to taper down a winter week at lunch. This flight had some mild sakis and some yeastier ones as well. these yeasty sakis are amazing...they have such a stronger mouth flavor...stronger that your even hoppier beers in the mouth. i love it...its like the most aromatic spice but is actually in the form of an alcoholic bev. I also had some pork ramen with kimchi, parsnip/almond puree soup, spinach mushroom bacon salad, tofu, french fries, and rice bowl with chicke. Yumo and wow...such great flavors.

latte

I always have sweetened condensed milk with my coffee and tea just because i dint think milk is rich/thick enough and doesn't have the flavor. i realy really love it but i just acquired a frother for milk and realized i could make simple syrup from sugar and just make lattes. this seems satisfying also. and furthermore perhaps cheaper considering the condensed sweet milk is 2.69 now up from sale at 2.00. I wil have to see if the milk froth is good with tea as well as coffee and i may need like at tall mug :).

Sage paint

This is like totally cool...i recently found an old wood bonco thing...quite low to the ground. i washed it with some sage soak water...i did not think it was scented but as i used the water to thin out the paint and paint on the paint i realized the sage soak water was scented so the wooden banco startedto smell sage. now i have started to iron on this wood as ironing board with wool blanket over to protect and it is totally steaming out an awesome sage smell...very very

red wine

So i had a glass of this wine terasses red yesterday. it was so good....chateau pesquie 2011 rhone valley. i got two bottles of nice wine for xmas and it is really quite fun. I am such a charles shaw lady it is kind of nice to be introduced to a different kind of wine experience. And i dont have so much information in my head about these types of nicer wines so it was really refreshing to get a peek like this. I also tried a wine called bucci...white wine 2013. The red is from ventoux winery. I have always been really into wine labels and the art of wine...it just hasn't been something i have invested a lot into of yet. but i see how nourishing a hobby a love it can be...so vast and stimulating and interesting.

carrying on

So they say keep calm and carry on is the motivator of the millenials. I really like that saying...especially for movers and shakers i think it adds so much positivity to the scene.

winter

I am totally loving winter even though it is snowing just a bit here and there. i am also looking forward to spring whuch should be divine. i purchased some cool seeds like hyacinth and magnolia to add to my other seeds. i hope my seed growing skills improve...i think i am losing a couple tomato plants this month. but i may be able to get some bright led's and dreaming of a sun room i could build for green house effect. Everything is good...my business is good and same with health and wealth and hope and esteem. really happy for 2015 and all it may bring. i have started to submit a fiction novella to publishers that i wrote and perhaps start writing another.

Burger and eggplant

Had a burger, roasted brussel sprouts with khombu, roasted eggplant, rose wine, a beer, and some dumplings. this was a great meal rounded off by a japanese ipa, green tea icecream ginger icecream and chocolate mousse icecream, cheese cake and chocolate mousse...all little bites. the burger was 6 oz. A decent size.

---

I know other people have this problem with old acquaintances who just cant get the message that you don't have friendly feelings toward them any more and keep trying to rekindle the relationship...its a very weird stalking like behavior. I just have to be positive...they say people will eventually get the message...it is so weird though i mean people just sometimes are so out to lunch...no means no. im sorry if you are so dense that one you can't take a hint or two just are aggressive. Oh well...usually these people will eventually leave me be it just takes a bit of patience...how weird.

Again carne adovada.

Ok ok so i know people get addicted to carne adovada...i havent even been that into meat in the past but i guess i just felt like it was not to be missed out on. i had another order of it and wow it is so good. This one had a mild picante in it...yum Had it with dos equis lager on tap. i usually hate it when places don't have ipa...i never know why...but tge lager was ok.

Breakfast burrito

ok got to sample another breakfast burrito today.  chorizo with red and green chile...that was an awesome combo!!   This chorizo seemed to be more like ground beef wheteas the other one seemed more like thick cut bacon.  anyway i am not an expert but it is sure fun to assess what i notice.  it is quite a connoseurship...the enjoyment of chile.

Thursday, January 8, 2015

danish bakeries

So yummo. i just got a whole day of chile fixes. I had 1/3 chorizo red chile breakfast burrito with eggs and cheese One bite bacon green chile breakfast burrito with eggs and chees Full plate combo carne adovada and blue corn burrito Breakfast pecan roll 1/2 Wow oh wow Red chile is primo Green chile is nice And pecan roll...i spent some time in denmark in highscoll but i never had any of their danish pastry wgich is just butter and dough layered and folded. i was just all health conscious so i avoided the bakeries they had on every corner, but this pecan roll which had that same pastry dough made me wish i had spent like all my time at the danish bakeries. Wow wow.

quilting

Im trying to start this quilting project for a little while...i have my pattern...ready many tutorials etc. i have made like5 quilts...bed size but much more disorganizedlythan this really. I will be able to use some assembly line method...i think...i am a hand sewer so i really hop and do think it could work. not too sure though!! i usually use a stencil or do applique for my blocks. the pattern i have chosen has some smaller pieces. i love quilting ...there are so many ways of doing everything. :)!! I will be making meter shawls not a full quilt which i usually do and they are hard to quilt.

Friday, January 2, 2015

just me my year

goodness oh my...i love mirror tile and mosaic. i got tan grout to use for them...super earthy and deserty. Trying to find a good quilt pattern because i am going to make some quilt shawls. And making myself some clothes out of some wool blends. Some of my plants are freezing because i turn my heat off at night but actually when i left the heat on all the time I thought that was killing them too.
