crocheting

i am trying to teach myself to crochet...it is pretty funand i am figuring it out little by little. i was originally attracted to crocheting because it can create these great and colorful brocades. its difficult to understand for me though. i think because i have gotten so focused on learning new knitting patterns and stitches now just the conversion in the language is getting me. so i am just trying to break down the pattern bit by bit and see if i understand more and more each time i look at it. i did once learn a granny square through video but my intetest in that did not hold. i go in and out of like of floral motiff.
